The boys and Troy spent the afternoon carving our pumpkins. The kids had a lot of fun.

Applesauce! Yum.
With all the apples that we got, and since they were so stinking small we made applesauce with them. Troy and I worked on them some before Karen came and when she got here we finished them up.
Our first session we made chunky applesauce...so worth the time. It is so good. After that we just stuck with making regular applesauce so we could get it done as fast as possible.Aunt Karen's Visit.
My sister Karen came down to visit me and take a break from working so hard. It was great to have her here. The boys love doing things with her. And its fun to take a break and go shopping with her.
Fall Harvest Dinner
I have come to the conclusion that I can't decide if I like fall or spring better. Both have pros and cons to it. I love the warm fall afternoons, and all the harvest foods. Apples, squash, corn and potatoes...the list could go on. Then there is the spring, when the tulips start to appear and trees start blooming. Everything feels so refreshed. This year we had a harvest dinner with Troy's family. It was great all kinds of good food from the many gardens.
A nice warm fall afternoon!
Apple Picking. 2009
At our new house we have an apple tree. We love apples so we were very excited to find out that the yard had one. This is Annie playing outside while she watch James and I and Troy pick apples all day.
Hunting Trip. September 2009
In September Troy took off a week and a half for Archery season. So instead of staying behind the whole time, we decided to join him and camp for about 5 days.
Our new Chickens.
James has some new pets! Troy really wanted to get some chickens and he had some friends from work that gave us 6 chickens.

Oscar's Wedding!
Oscar and Rebecca's wedding here in Rexburg turned out great. Isaac was so excited to be able to be there, he loves to be in the middle of everything going on.
James just couldn't handle all the people trying to take his picture anymore.

Family Photos
Family picture day...usually ends in kids crying, and parents wondering why we do this to ourselves, its like punishing ourselves.
However this year was a just a little different. Maybe it was because the boys were threatened with their life...wait I didn't say that. Maybe it was just the candy or the new Hot Wheel cars they both got. Whatever it takes right!??
