4th of July Celebration

Menan held their celebration this year on the 5th, so we were able to attend some of Rexburg's activities on the 3rd. All the other communities were having theirs on the 3rd also. Which meant we had a lot of people attend ours in Menan.
Every year we participate in the foot races. I think my boys look forward to that more than the actual fireworks. Annie didn't understand why she had to wait.

But she finally got to run!
James running! I believe he got 2nd place this year. Or at least that's what he told everyone at the end.

Isaac racing in the middle.
Aunt Karen and Aunt Natasha helped Isaac do the wheel barrow race.
I think his arms were very tired by the time he was done.

Fishing Day!

A local nursery here host a big kid free fishing day. They have a large pond/lake in their parking lot. They have a radio dj come and lots of prizes. Free food, and all the gear to go fishing.
Troy had to work, so I enlisted Brandon and Oscar to come and help the boys fish.

This was probably the only time Annie stayed in her stroller. After that she realized how much fun it was to be on the ground and to throw rocks in to the pond.
James tried to stay focused with fishing but eventually he like throwing rocks better.
Isaac loved doing the fishing.

Hanson Family Campout

This year for our annual reunion, we all decided to go camping. Other than the weather the trip was great. We went during the weekend so it was pretty empty in the campground.
Our makeshift shelter from the rain.

We had a clearing in the weather and decided to take the kids out for a boat ride.
It started raining about 2 minutes in to our boat ride.

Annie loved walking around in the water. With all the rain we got we had lots of big puddles for the kids to play in.
James would ride as fast as he could right down the middle of the puddles.

Annie and her dad being lazy in the tent one morning.

Grandparents Visit June

This summer my grandparents have been touring around different places. We were lucky to get a visit from them.
We all enjoyed having them come and visit.

They brought a large ball for each kids. Annie loved chasing after hers.

James turns 4!

James sure keeps me busy all day long. He had a great day with a bunch of family came over and played with him. We did a BBQ again. I guess letting a 4 year old choose what he eats for dinner, means we eat hotdogs each year.

Like James needs a whoopi cushion.???!!!

Isaac's First Grade Field Trip

Isaac was able to go on a field trip at end of last year. I signed up to go with him. We went to Idaho Falls, and feed the ducks. Then went to the fire station, and the local zoo. It was fun to spend the day with him.

Does this duck look familiar to anyone? And no its not a battery operated duck!

Thanksgiving Point, Utah

We took the kids to see all the animals at barn area. It had been raining as we showed up, but stopped after we got there. It was great because there was hardly anyone there. Annie loved seeing all the animals.
James really liked riding the pony.
Annie wasn't so sure about it.

Isaac got to learn how to comb the pony.

Strawberry Jam

Back in April, Oscar and Rebecca purchased some strawberries from Bountiful Baskets for pretty cheap. Some of the them came a little ripe. They both came out and I taught them how to preserve the jam.
I can't remember how many pints they ended up with, but they all turned out really nice.

Spring Fever

This spring the kids were having a hard times with the cold weather. So any chance we got when the weather was good, we would take the boys and Annie on a walk around our neighborhood.
All 3 kids loved going as you can see.

Easter April 2010

This year for Easter it was raining and dark so we were not able to go and see the sunrise. But we are looking forward to next year, as Easter is April 24th, so hopefully the temp will be higher than freezing.
Annie enjoying her Easter surprise.
Isaac and James enjoyed the balloons to play with as much as their books they got.

James our muscle man!

Since moving into our house, the mailbox has always sat a little funny...and wasn't the greatest height either. So its been on our "to do" list for some time now. Well the other day the Young Women and Young Men were doing a service scavenger hunt for members of the ward. So a couple of cars got parked half in our yard and half on the street. One leader decided to back up and couldn't see the mailbox and managed to knock it over. We soon found out that the mailbox post was only sunk about a foot down into the ground. Not very stable to say the least. So we put it back up that night, with plans to fix it the next day. However Troy decided to play a trick on James. He always goes out and checks for the newspaper and the mail everyday. So Troy told him to go out and get the newspaper, but to be careful since he is so strong we don't want him to knock over the mailbox.

Of course out went James even more determined than ever to knock over that mailbox. Sure enough it came down with out much work.

James was so proud of himself. He is showing off his muscles now!
Standing there after getting himself dressed, and wearing only 1 slipper!

Who wouldn't love such a cute, funny kid!
